Review of Asus VivoBook S15 Review

Written by Albert Headley

VivoBook S15 is the latest addition to the VivoBook series by Asus. It has two types of processor: core i5 and core i7. Recently I have bought the core i7. After using it for almost one month I am going to write an honest review about the product.

VivoBook S15 is made up of brushed metal texture and is gold in color. As far as its weight is concerned, Asus has made this laptop not the lightest one, but not on the heavier side also. It weighs 1.7 kgs and is 17.9 mm thin. It has USB 2.0, 3.0 and Type C (3.1), 1HDMI and a card reader.

The touchpad has lot of rooms for our fingers to move around. It also includes Windows Hello. On the top right corner there is finger print sensor for this program.

It has speakers at the bottom and facing towards the front. Asus SonicMaster audio Program is installed in it with auto tune software and hardware combination.

It has introduced “NanoEdge” display which makes the surfing much easier for its user. With full HD and LED resolution, the videos are really impressive to look at. It has 178 degree wide angle view.

VivoBook runs on 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor, which is the best gaming and regular use processor till date. It can be upgraded to 16 GB RAM. Nvidia GeForce MX15 GPU has enhanced its graphic processing powers. It has Windows 10 Home as its OS.

It comes with some pre installed applications from Asus. Asus has used its Tru2Life Video Technology to bring out the tiny details while watching a video.

I have been using my laptop for over 10 hours a day. The best part of its performance is that it is not getting heated and getting restarted for even once. The battery life of the Laptop is also superb. With full charge you can use it for 6 hours on regular use. For heavier use like watching a movie or playing a game, you have to recharge it after 3-4 hours. It has Battery Health charging technology which will charge 60% of your laptop in 49 minutes.

Final Review

Asus VivoBook S15 definitely has the quality to outrun all the laptops in the market. I am really impressed with its performance, display and video quality. It is absolutely ideal for regular and heavy users.
